I trained at Cambridge and King's College Hospital,
before coming to Dartford to join the GP Training Scheme. I joined Dartford West
Health Centre in 1984 after a year spent in a Zululand hill hospital. I am now
senior partner and have special interests in rheumatology, asthma and practice
management. Out of hours interests, apart from my family, include golf, gardening
and singing.

I trained in London at St. Mary's Hospital Medical
School and qualified in 1984. I have particular interests in diabetes, cardiology
and dermatology. Married with three children, my interests include reading, history,
keeping fit and golf.

I am interested
in all aspects of women's health and family planning.

I worked in Liverpool and Bromley
until joining the practice part-time in 1991. I have a special interest in ophthalmology
as well as family medicine. I am married with three children and try to maintain
my interests in music, reading and astronomy.

After completing my general practice
training I then did a further five years' training in paediatrics before joining
this practice part-time.

Our practice is far more than just
doctors and receptionists - we are a large team working together for our patients.
Practice Manager - Mrs Maureen Coe
The role of the practice
manager is to co-ordinate and organise the practice to best effect. She will help
you with any administrative problems and is pleased to receive any suggestions
you may have about improving the services available.

Receptionists
The receptionist's job is to help you arrange consultations, home visits
as necessary and answer telephone queries about the practice. Our receptionists
cannot give medical advice.
Secretaries
They type letters
of referral to hospitals and help with the administration of the practice.
Community Nurses
They provide nursing care and advice to
the housebound and those recently discharged from hospital. Telephone 01322 622529.
Health Visitors
They visit all families of children under
five. They may also provide support and advice to all age groups, particularly
at times of physical or emotional stress. Telephone 01322 622500.
Counsellors
To help our patients with their emotional problems, we have a team of skilled
and sympathetic counsellors. If you would like to see a counsellor, make an appointment
with your doctor.

Our sisters are available directly by appointment - 01322 222998. They can deal with minor injuries, ear syringing, contraceptive pill checks, dressings, immunisations and removal of stitches. They also perform cervical smears and carry out health checks, smoking cessation, counselling and give advice on many problems.
